The Cottage Kids Playschool is a multi-award winning service having won 12 awards from Early Childhood Ireland (ECI) for our curriculum and for our innovative work for the sector (2012-2020).

The Cottage Kid’s Playschool have been recognised as the leading pre-school service in Lusk following the completion of The Siolta Quality Assurance Programme, the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education in June 2014. We were awarded the highest overall quality rating of level 4.

The Cottage Kids Playschool have participated in the inspection process from the Department of Education. The overall inspection resulted in finding our curriculum to be excellent across all four areas of inspection. Provision was found to be ‘exemplary in meeting the needs of children’.

Our book ‘Being & Becoming Mathematicians Through Play’ was published in 2015. This book was written by Mandy as part of an award submission which we were delighted to receive. In this book the Educators took a math’s lens and make visible for everyone the wonderfully enjoyable and rich process of young children being and becoming mathematicians.
